Fire equipment should be serviced every 12 months (yearly) by a registered company. Products are serviced by a BBI or SABS approved Company and SAQCC registered technician, the technicians registration number should be indicated on the service label. (You can check the service technician or companies on the following website: www.saqccfire.co.za).
All equipment being installed or serviced should carry the BSI or SABS markings as it relates to SANS accreditation.
All the extinguishers require pressure testing by law. Foam, water and powder extinguishers require pressure testing every 5 years. CO2 extinguishers need to be pressure tested within the first 5 years and then require pressure testing every 10 years.
Your springler systems need to be inspected on a monthly basis by a competent person within your organization. The pumps for any sprinkler system need to be serviced every 12 months (yearly) basis by a registered and approved competent person. The valves need to be overhauled every 3 years by a registered and approved competent person.
